Gifted Services

Our teachers work with identified students in grades K-12, through service options that include differentiated instruction and cluster grouping in the regular classroom; resource room instruction; subject acceleration; grade-level acceleration; early entrance; advanced classes; post-secondary and dual-enrollment options; distance learning; and various enrichment experiences. They provide lessons and activities that are designed to enrich the regular curriculum and promote higher-level thinking skills.

Other gifted services include the following:

  • testing and identification

  • consultation with classroom teachers, parents and students

  • affiliation with gifted associations including the Ohio Association for Gifted Children and the West Central Ohio Association for Gifted Children

  • information regarding legislation that pertains to the education of gifted students in Ohio

  • scholarship opportunities
