Gifted Services
Our teachers work with identified students in grades K-12, through service options that include differentiated instruction and cluster grouping in the regular classroom; resource room instruction; subject acceleration; grade-level acceleration; early entrance; advanced classes; post-secondary and dual-enrollment options; distance learning; and various enrichment experiences. They provide lessons and activities that are designed to enrich the regular curriculum and promote higher-level thinking skills.
Other gifted services include the following:
testing and identification
consultation with classroom teachers, parents and students
affiliation with gifted associations including the Ohio Association for Gifted Children and the West Central Ohio Association for Gifted Children
information regarding legislation that pertains to the education of gifted students in Ohio
scholarship opportunities
