New Lebanon Reopening Plan Revision--8.11.20

posted Aug 11, 2020, 2:15 PM by Greg Williams

After careful consideration of recommendations from the State of Ohio and the Montgomery County Department of Health, we have revised the New Lebanon Schools Reopening Plan.  The plan is now a hybrid model in which students attend school 2 days a week and receive remote instruction on other days.  This plan allows schools to more adequately provide social distancing for important face-to-face learning and it also allows schools to transition quickly to full-remote or full-classroom models quickly if needed.

The facial covering requirement instituted by the State of Ohio is also included in this revised plan.

The new plan may lead some families to reconsider their preferences regarding the option for full-remote instruction.  The Remote Learning Request form has been left open for families who would like to transition to the full-remote model on the district website--it will remain open through August 20th.

For those parents who signed up for full-remote but would like to select the hybrid model instead, you may reply to this email or call the board office at 937 687 1301 to change your request.

Thank you all once again for your support and understanding as we work to provide the best opportunities for students.
