The New Lebanon Local School District Board of Education seeks applicants to fill the unexpired term of board member Mr. David Woodgeard, who resigned August 12, 2019.

The Board will accept resumes for interested candidates for two weeks, closing on November 15th, 2019 and the Hon. Alice McCollum, Probate Court Judge of Montgomery County, will interview selected candidates. The newly-appointed member will serve until December 31, 2021. If the appointed member desires to continue serving, the person must run in the next general election. The Board generally meets twice per month at 5:00 p.m.

Board Member David Woodgeard resigned due to relocating out of state.  Mr. Woodgeard served for 14 years and was recognized for ten years of service as a school board member at an Ohio School Boards Association Southwest Regional Conference.

The Board is seeking a candidate to continue the work of developing policies and initiatives geared toward student-focused academic achievement in New Lebanon Schools.

According to Ohio law, people serving on Ohio school boards must be at least 18 years old, district residents and registered voters.

Those interested in serving on the New Lebanon Local School District Board of Education should send a resume to the Superintendent at the email address or to the District’s address at 320 S. Fuls Road, New Lebanon, OH 45345.
